Fayette County! Only interested in ducks! No chickens here! Trying to find 2-3 flying mallard ducklings! No rouens!
Ok, hatch report for bator #1!
Of the 26 eggs that went into lockdown, 24 hatched! (92%) The two that didn't hatch appeared to have died around lockdown. I will need to look into that. But, most of these eggs were from Rocky Rhodes!
8 OEs (Welsummer X Legbars)
7 Legbars (I know at least 5 are girls! Will check better when I take them out of the incubator today)
2 EEs (One is a NN!)
4 Polish mixes ! Yea! Finally got some more!
and 3 assorted mixes from my blue and green egg layers!
Will get cuter photos when I get them to the brooder!
Also, yesterday, my daughter's Seramas hatched two chicks from eggs she took back at the end of March when she visited us! She is so excited about them! Her Seramas are indoor birds and live in a two story indoor chicken coop. She lets them run around in her backyard (she lives in a townhouse in Washington DC area!) when she goes out to garden her tiny space. They both went broody and co-shared the eggs . Here are some photos of them.
