Yep. Neighbors called this morning to let us know. I ran over to make sure it wasn't on a fence (or a critter). All was well and it is actually a tree that we had already been saying needed to come down. Darn shame it didn't take the cable line down when it fell.

yeah I'm thinking my dad and grandpa used to call them carpenters squares too......and I do understand about the home depot guy not knowing what it was. Some of those workers are awesome with how they can help, some of them would be better suited to mucking out the chicken run, IF you could make them understand where to pile it...........

Seems my DH may be taking may 2nd off. I am stunned. Now, if he's actually able to pull it off, the swap may be something we will be able to attend. Because, if they ask me to work, "I booked a wedding party that day". Ha!

HELP!!!!!

ok I put my eggs in lock down on friday, and still no pips and the one egg I heard peeps out of is now silent are they dead? if so that would mean all the eggs I bought from the auctions are dead, they were alive when they went in.

how long do I wait for pips? this is the first time I'm using the bator I bought from TSC my temps and humidity stayed regular

I don't know. Does your's fuss and complain about the chickens but still gets you chicken related things for birthdays and holidays?
