don't know where you bought it, but did they offer to shake it up? I'd sure be taking it back and telling them what happened. It could just be old.....
this is why I prefer to paint instead of stain something, a WHOLE lot easier to cover up if it doesn't turn out as hoped/expected!
Home Depot. And, nope. They didn't offer. I have one of those stirrers that you attach to a drill, from when I used it for mixing the thin set. But, for some reason the lock was jammed on the drill, and I couldn't open the the darn thing to put it on. I'm going to see if they'll let me exchange it. It makes me wonder if that was all the pigment settled and maybe that's why it looked so orange. it's supposed to be Redwood, but it doesn't look anything like what it did in the store. I exclusively use the Behr line of paints because they're so pigment heavy, they cover really well, and the color payoff is pretty true to their chips. But, I've never used their stains.
