YO GEORGIANS! :)

don't know where you bought it, but did they offer to shake it up? I'd sure be taking it back and telling them what happened. It could just be old.....

this is why I prefer to paint instead of stain something, a WHOLE lot easier to cover up if it doesn't turn out as hoped/expected!

Home Depot. And, nope. They didn't offer. I have one of those stirrers that you attach to a drill, from when I used it for mixing the thin set. But, for some reason the lock was jammed on the drill, and I couldn't open the the darn thing to put it on. I'm going to see if they'll let me exchange it. It makes me wonder if that was all the pigment settled and maybe that's why it looked so orange. it's supposed to be Redwood, but it doesn't look anything like what it did in the store. I exclusively use the Behr line of paints because they're so pigment heavy, they cover really well, and the color payoff is pretty true to their chips. But, I've never used their stains.

ok I mentioned working on my old tractor a few days ago and said I'd post some before and after pics. I got the rear wheels back on this afternoon. Still have a few minor details to take care of but here's a few pics for anyone who's interested:

Now, it's not a show tractor, or going to be put in any parades, but looks completely and totally different. Sure did a number on that dirt pile

and I am tickled pink with it!

yeah the barn red I did my coop with was the Behr, I got it in the 'oops' bin for $9 and was really pleased how it turned out. I can't believe they didn't offer to shake it. I'd make sure you tell them that at customer service when you take it back. I'd just about bet the farm that's the pigment and it's why it looked 'off'

For my first coop I used the Behr semi-transparent.. I think the color was Russet or something. LOVE it.

Cool! That's what I got. the Semi Transparent. I just googled it to see photos of the color. From what I can see, nothing looks amiss...

The color is accurate. It had gotten me thinking that the coop color wouldn't look right with it, but the first photo I found, had a house the same color with the deck stained. It look alright. Maybe in they daylight it will be different. I am going to have to check out Russet, in case I need a plan B.

Good job! It looks pretty rad.

It's 9:40pm and I'm just getting home! Returned home after great time at Robos and GAMs only long enough to unload the car and then it was off to a party at the neiighbors house. That ended up with us all driving our atv's up into the mountains to another friends home. Camp fire and talk. Fun time but I am so tired!

Had a great time meeting everyone today! Papa, your pork was wonderful, thank you for it! Thanks to everyone for all the food! Robo, I loved your adorable little goats! They are just too cute! And your kids are just really nice! And helpful! You should be very proud of them.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone and it was great meeting you all! I am tired right now, so I am off to bed!

thanks x2 haha
Omg PapaChaz my daddy has an old Ford tractor..
they are pretty cool. And tough as nails! I bought this one mainly for using at the hunting club, but when we bought this place I knew I'd need it a lot here. Finally got that big pile of dirt spread out, going to spread the big pile of horse manure that's been composting in my garden spot for the last month and get it tilled in first of the week, hope to have my garden done by next weekend

thanks y'all. I know it's not a new one, and there are a few things I'd change if I could but I still get a lot done with it
