YO GEORGIANS! :)

I'm covered in saw dust and I'm pretty sure I smell like a homeless person. I'm tired.

I totally understand. I did the garden yesterday, (I did take a shower yesterday though, LOL)
worked all day laying out and starting a big flower bed. Put up part of a split rail fence, a bird batch, a blue bird house and trenched for edging. Waiting on the washer to finish so I can hit the shower. I'm not sure how a homeless person smells, but I'd imagine it's pretty close to what I smell like right now too, LOL

an appropriate saying for a chicken forum I guess would be 'birds of a feather'

you all have been busy while I was away, yes I was away for the smartie pants of the group, my internet was down and the little dude had to come out and fix it, but I'm back!!!!

Now for my drama, some of you know about one of my Roosters I got from Florida and how he was really aggressive and that since I let him out he has become a different bird, well his buddy that came with him from Florida the araucana Rooster, has kicked the hell out of this bird and he is really hurt, one eye is swollen shut, back of his neck is bald, his comb is all bloody and I had to rinse the blood out of his caked feathers, all this after I went out to the pasture to retrieve him, wow he sure made his buddy mad. So he is in a pen all by himself poor Nat I feel sorry for him. so do I keep Nat and rehome his buddy who only has this rage against Nat, the araucana's name is red Fox and he is just fine with other birds and people, suggestions? Well if Nat lives he is really hurt, I may have to take him to the Vet

I have no experience with mean roosters, but if it were me, and the really sweet one lives, I'd rehome the meanie. I would probably already have a soft spot for Nat.

Yeah Nat is pampered right now, and the strange thing is Nat was really aggressive he even flogged me until I gave him room to roam and girls, but Red fox may have to go but he does seem to take care of the flock, he thinks all the birds are his even the youngens which is strange because chickens especially roos I thought were mean to youngens dilemmas dilemmas

i had this experience dont get rid of either just yet as nat can turn aggressive again now after the attack and ya one thinking all the chicks are is is thinking in his mind he is protecting them from nat and as long as nat or any roo is on ya place he will continue to be this way he doesn't want to share she how he acts now that nat is put up away frm him to recoop<and not all roos will harm the little one it just very rare and his price value high in the( old farming days )because of this dont act toooo soon to get rid just yet ,question how long have you had these roos im a little new to BYC.just not at raising chickens.

Tell that to this rooster. I have always heard roosters were more tolerant to chicks.
