YO GEORGIANS! :)

Any of you plant savvy folks out there know what this is? I've never had poison ivy before or any other (oak or sumac). I've also never seen any of those in person. Only in photos. I know the saying "leaves of three let it be", but I also know it can have up to 7 leaflets. This looks suspect to me. It is growing through the fence in very close proximity to the coop and where I'm working. I've never seen this before.

This is none of the 'poison' vines. I don't know what it is called, but we have it here and we just pull it. Just a nuisance plant.

hmmm, mine are 12 weeks and haven't started yet, the blue ameraucanas. The black austrolorp is 9 weeks old and not crowing yet. Maybe I'm wrong and these aren't roosters, LOL

Like I said, depends on the bird! I've had some as old as 5 months down to 12 days old, but they can be any age! Sometimes it depends on the company they are keeping. If there is a top roo already crowing, sometimes younger ones will 'hold off' crowing because of where they are in the pecking order. Also, the one that waited until he was 5 months old was the only rooster we had. All my other birds were hens. I don't think he knew he was suppose to crow! He didn't crow until my DD went out and said, 'Look, crow like this" And she crowed. He looked at her and crowed his first crow! True story! But, for my situation, most of mine start crowing around 8 weeks.

the 4 Blue AMs are all the same age, there's one that is slightly bigger than the other three. The black australorp is 3 weeks younger. None of them are yet. But I do have a neighbor within hearing distance that has a rooster that's crowing. Occasionally when outside I hear him, and I'll hear his hens sing the eggs song. I haven't gone up to see if he locks his coop or if I could get some free eggs when he's not home

They do have one they can hear. I guess they'll just crow when they're darn good and ready huh HA
