YO GEORGIANS! :)

@carcar sorry to hear about your loss,,,, my NN died don't know why it wasn't pecked by the others at first it was when I put the bannie babies in with it but the last couple of days all was well in the baby box. , I think I'm just not supposed to have any NN's

yum the girls will love it but make jam/jelly

that one is mine and that one and that one ........
I agree with you, never really gave it much thought but then a tractor to me just isn't enough room, or I'd have to build one that would take a tractor to move it then would it still be a tractor

I was thinking of making some freezer jam, but I've never actually eaten an apricot & I'm not sure what would be considered too ripe for jam. Any suggestions on what to look for? I have a ton of plums, too! I plan to be eating those myself. I don't share plums. LOL Not even with my favorite chickens.

So sad. YOU NEED A NN! Everyone should have at least one! They are just so fascinating! Rocky Rhodes has some more I think! I am growing out a few of mine. I only have 3 of the NN babies left though, sold the others.

Here are the other five from that hatch.. The closest one is definitely a boy and the other four dust bathing, I'd venture to say, are girls!! (Plus an olive cockerel seeing what's up)..

I also have five more younger ones from thale same breeder in the brooder.. Two girls in that group.

But still.. I hate I lost the two and I will be on PINS/NEEDLES every day when I come home now!

Well, of the Lavender Ameraucana eggs in the bator, only 4 have hatched so far. Not even a pip coming from the other 4. Also hatched a Silkie mix and a Swedish Flower that I had thrown in there at the last minute. This is the last group of eggs that spent so much time in the new bator with the messed up thermometer/hygrometer. (The eggs ended up having really small air cells at the end) Hopefully, all the other eggs will now hatch better!
One of the babies:

Still a little damp

just look for brused fruit and give that to the birds, they won't mind.

I do want a NN but I'm not getting babiesbabies, I'll take a baby, did you understand my Kathleenese? As my DH calls it, he says I have a lanugage all my own. So if someone wants to grow one or two out a little for me let me know.

so pretty, they may not want to come out since they are looking at ice and penguins, I know I wouldn't want to come out thinking it will be cold

Y'all I lost TWO juvenile Brahmas today.

Anf I have NO idea why. These are my "prized" ones too.. The shipped eggs I hatched. One cockerel and one pullet. They were so beautiful. Just gone.

I couldn't find a mark on them (aside from the normal light pecking chickens do to dead stuff) and the others are absolutely fine. No bugs, no wounds, respiratory rate totally normal. Not even panting like they're overheated. They are in my most shaded (all-day shade) coop. Two full waterers

Sooo mad!

wow, you would almost think it would have to be the heat, but it sure sounds odd with plenty of fresh water and in the shade
