How high should you install water nipples for average chickens and silkies? I just got my set up with four nipples on a PVC stick, I am going to mount it under my elevated coop, I don't want to put it too high. Although given my husband used to play basketball and would probably enjoy watching the hens go for a lay up ...I would like to see them casually stroll up and take a drink.
 
Thanks. That sweet tiny little ball of English Lab now weighs in just over 100 pounds and is more agile than my Germans. Im constructing my coop. He has learned how to launch himself two feet straight up and inside while I'm working...a habit i'll have to break.
 
English lab? Is that just a black lab or some other breed? Ours is only about 4 months old and is good with our new chick and we love her! And she loves to eat chicken feed and poop! She loves the coop. Good luck with breaking that habit, if he's like our girl that shouldn't be to hard. Ours is a fast learner!
 
Hey! Are there any Georgians who give us a chick to go with our lonely girl Wheezy? I feel like she just cuddles with her stuffed animal. It makes me sad. I am in the cumming & dawsonville area
 
Don't know if you are close or not, what city? I have bantams due around that time too (not sure how my hatch rate will be) but thats 10 days away :(
