YO GEORGIANS! :)

I will have production type RIR eggs starting in two weeks. Debating finding some heritage type to raise for next year.
I am looking for Heritage type too to go with my rooster and hen(fingers crossed for hens). We are working on a breeding coop to separate our different breeds but I also have a Fun Barn coop where we will have all the other fun breeds. The Production RIR eggs would still be great. Are they large eggs?

it's ridiculous. I was always sensitive to cold, never really gave it any thought. I just assumed it was because we moved to the south when Iwas little so I just didn't have time to get used to cold. What I think is the most ridiculous is that mine is only slightly slow. Like, I take the smallest dose of synthroid but I'm amazed at how much havoc it causes at such a slight level. It's crazy. I have no idea how folks like my bff deal. She had her thyroid removed in HS.
I completely understand. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis about 10 yrs ago. My thyroid is very bad and I take a high dose. I used to love when the air turned cold but just can not stand it now. I hurt all over when I get cold.

Yikes. I'll shut my trap then. You are definitely a trooper. I'm a big whiny baby. For real. I guess it would be worse if I didn't have a sense of humor about it.

Well if you lose your sense of humor about it one day the little kids will walk by your place and say "That's a mean old woman sitting on the porch with the chicken on her lap!"

I'm 8 years older than my wife and I told her it would all come apart at 50. Well she's 59 now, still weighs the same as when we married, up every morning picking stalls, rides and trains horses each day and races on the weekend. I tell her it's all her fault the shape I'm in because I worked so hard all these years so she can keep riding horses. She just grins and keeps on going!

I'm in Armuchee too, off haywood valley, what kind of birds do you have?

I wonder how many others I have missed,

I think you welcomed me when I joined but I don't post much. I'm on Collier Road just off the Old Dalton Road. We are really close neighbors.
I got my chicks last May, they are 8½ months old, I have 14 Buff Orpington hens/ 1 rooster, 5 Black Australorps and one Easter Egger.
This cold weather is keeping me closer to the fire so I spend more time at the computer.
