YO GEORGIANS! :)

I can move my arms! 95% of pain is gone. Took about 5 days for the pain from the shots to go away, but I'm good now, for a while at least. I'll take it. First time since May without constant issues.
Now, related to the birds, I hate that they're confined to the coop and enclosed run. They have plenty of room, but really liked it better when they could run around freely in a 576 sqft yard. Can I count on that hawk to be back? Even though Stanley scared it off? We will be winding more metered line over the areas where there was a breach.
wooHOO congratulations for you! glad it's helped.

yeah, that hawk has spotted food, it'll be back in hopes to swoop in a little quicker

I have eggs coming out of my ears lol
ok, so yesterday, I was actually out in the coop, one of my AMs was in the nest facing away from me and I got to watch it lay. It did NOT come out of her ear......

also, @carcar80 I am uploading a video of the AM/Leghorn rooster crowing. He's been steady at it for the last few days. I was hoping to catch him crowing and turned on the video camera, and actually caught him gettin busy with one of the girls. NOT uploading that one, but he's already taking care of business. At just 19 weeks old!

soon as it uploads to youtube, I'll post it up

ok here's a vid of the young rooster crowing. I actually got him twice, and the second time I managed to zoom in close....

Hey Ya'll! it's be almost SEVEN MONTHS since I've been on this site! How's everyone doing?? Life has been hectic as all get out lately! I hope you guys don't mind a short summary! last fall we had to move very quickly, and unplanned.... try doing that with 4 dogs, 5 cats, 20 chickens, and 4 ducks! heck yeah! it was a blast! not short of a miracle, we did it, and moved all the chicken coops with us too. All the chickens are settling down in their new home, and we are down to only 15 chickens, and 3 duckies. ( someone made really good duck gumbo). The chickens have all decided to start laying, and with life settling down, I can now make them and my other hobbies a larger part of my life! Multiple other unfortunate events have happened in this time period, and I just haven't had time for the things that I actually love, but that's finally changing, and it's good to be back! Also in the front is the development of FINALLY convincing a certain someone that we didn't have QUITE enough animals, and a bunny will soon be joining the family.

. Any suggestions on large docile breeds, and how to use them on a hobby farm? (other than meat. I can kill an ugly rooster....not the fluffy bunny). Anyways! sorry for the long post, but I'm sure happy to be back!

ATTENTION:

I'm going to go and pick up some chicks from Kevin in Summerville for Flowerbh late next week/early part of the following week and bring them to the CVA, if you want to get in on this, let me know and I will bring yours with me also, if you want chicks and can't get to Summerville, I will meet you, pm me and I swap cash for chicks

I've done searches for an hour about what is safe to mark hatching eggs. The results are about 50-50 on using a sharpie. I know some of you folks mark your eggs so please chime in and let me know if using a sharpie will cause any harm. I'm ready to mark some eggs tonight.

Thanks

just a plain ole pencil, although if you have some grayish color eggs that might work so well
