YO GEORGIANS! :)

I'm from Ohio...and personally, I won't buy from Mt Healthy. That have a very recent history of samonella outbreaks in their hatchery. I like Ideal Poultry out of Texas & Meyer Hatchery out of Ohio.

How recent? I have gotten pretty good reviews about them. I don't want to judge them for one outbreak. But if it has been recent problem or a continuing problem that is definitely Reason for concern

I am going to get my NPIP cert. I would like to do it now. However, I'm not sure how it all works when not all of your birds are old enough to be tested. My Brahma and MFD pens are ready. But my Brown Leghorns haven't even hatched yet and my BR aren't yet old enough to test. Anyone know how that works? If two pens test does that cover your whole farm until the others are old enough the next year? Or do they need to come back in a few months when the young ones are old enough?

I'm not sure. I'm getting tested hopefully this week. I'll let you know if I find out!

Question. I may be going out on a limb here. I have a pen of BBS ameraucana's. I am afraid to incubate and my broody isn't really broody, lol!
Would anyone with an incubator be interested in hatching some BBS ameraucanas and maybe a couple white leghorn x ameraucana (SBEL) eggs? Maybe spilt whatever hatches?
