Is the aforementioned freakier chicken owned by one Silver Hill a naked neck, too? I know it's big I just can't remember anything else about it. But in my book if the feathers fell off the neck and landed on the feet, it wins the freak award.

And guess what I didn't do today.... Go ahead and guess. You'll never guess. I didn't let my pool nets fall in the deep end when it's 59 degrees right after taking a shower.

no Silver Hill's chicken knows how to keep its feathers in the correct places.

I LOVE this weather! Well, aside from the hailstorm we got today while I was boxing up pullets to sell.

That is the current plan, but I'm extremely impatient. The fact that I'm afraid of bugs is the only thing swaying my decision to just go for it. Even if a dead one touches me, I do the crazy freak dance & I'll have the heebie geebies for the rest if the day. I sure don't want to be picking them out of my hair. Lol

I put the heat on earlier. DH isn't home. I may have to turn it off now so I don't get busted, but then I'll have to put the electric blanket back on the bed. I stole the space heater from the living room and put it in the screened porch for the chickens. As long as they're warm and cozy, I can handle a little chill. Sort of. Maybe.

I been outside feeding and watering this morning in shorts, tshirt and crocs (that I only wear in the yard) and I love this weather. Wish it could be like this year round.

I am so hot natured, if I get cold, everybody else will have froze to death.

I absolutely hate summer! HATE IT!

Batman is still sitting in the box, but I stole it while she was eating to candle eggs. 7/10 are definitely developing! 2 are looking iffy, maybe infertile, and the lavender Americana is too dark to see.
But YAY, chicks! Proud of my silly little bantam Batman for sticking with it so far, the silky already quit.
