Hatching two Marans eggs under a heat lamp

GAM, I hope you're still planning to go! I'd love to meet some other BYCers!

Yes. I have no choice. I have got to thin the craziness. I've had a number of extra birds for a while now but it is time to do something about it.

And of course ... one of the male Muscovy ducks that I planned to take had a limp tonight so I need to figure out what's up there before I can take him. There may be other folks that will take birds in less than wonderful condition but I won't be one of them.

Very interesting! Just a heat lamp? How long did it take? Were the eggs inside a container? Cute chicks!

I didn't do the whole 21 days they just wouldn't hatch so I brought them inside the mother had hatched two of four eggs the other two had peep and then stopped well mama was trying to come off nest so i brought the other two in the house and helped them a little put them under the heat lamp and they hatched one of them is having trouble standing but the other is going strong
