What color and does it have feathered legs? If no feathered legs, it may lay an interesting color egg (if its a girl). The mom lays a strange gray egg. If the dad is a blue egg layer, the egg may be a fun turquoise color.

4th chick hatched last night. One more pipping. Other than the Showgirl, all have been Katsdar's. Hatch due date is Sunday! Cute chicks. One is blond with a cute 'beard'. One is bluish with golden highlights all over. One is black with a white dot on it's head. Lots of fun colored chicks.

So far it looks yellow (white) and gray but it is hiding at the back of the bator so it's hard to see. Legs are feathered.

Oh fun! So, with feathered legs, the dad is either Emerson or Sampson (Beau's Frizzled son). Both are hugh Brahmas.

The eggs from the swap are in lockdown for me. They should hatch monday or tuesday.

I'm putting my eggs into lock down tonight, due Monday or Tuesday, but I fully expect them to surprise me sooner!

I'm having the same problem where the air cells don't seem quite big enough and that worries me too... fingers crossed though, I'll have 38 eggs going into lock down, and if even half of those hatch I'll be ecstatic!

OMG! The little 'silkie' egg just hatched and it's a showgirl!!!!!! So excited! Little black skinned Naked Neck!

oh wow! That's definitely NOT mine then! My silky is all black and has all her feathers.
I forgot who brought them, but someone DID bring showgirl eggs! Neither of the ones I grabbed made it, but so glad to see yours hatched!
