I made pickled eggs for the first time. Tasted them this morning. They are a solid no for me. But maybe someone with a more sophisticated palate would like them.

You could try using Brunswick as a keyword in the forums search box and you might get lucky with finding nearby BYC members.I know this has been asked before, but are any of you down towards Brunswick?

Can I ask where you got the Cayugas from? I ordered some ducklings from an Ohio hatchery thinking they would have a shorter trip. The hatchery neglected to mention they actually get their ducklings from California & 5 of mine died in shipping (3 out of my 4 Cayugas and 2 out of 6 Welsh Harlequins.) I have been desperately trying to source closer Cayugas but have come up empty. My baby ducks came today! 1 Black Runner, 1 Chocolate Runner, 1 Blue Runner, 1 Khaki Campbell and 2 Cayugas! All females! So cute!
I love a lot of pickled things. Eggs aren't my favorite thing to eat (blasphemy on a chicken forum, lol) so I should've known better. You're brave. But then I dislike pickled anything. I'd probably get used to it if we didn't have refrigeration so much & it was one of the few preserving methods.
I got them from McMurray Hatchery. I knew they came from a different facility because they required a separate shipping fee. But all 13 ducks arrived alive and healthy! Mine are growing like weeds! I do, however, think one of my two Cayugas may be a male. It is twice the size as the other Cayuga. I ordered all females, but it may be interesting to have a pair. Can I ask where you got the Cayugas from? I ordered some ducklings from an Ohio hatchery thinking they would have a shorter trip.
