Hi! and Welcome to Georgia part of BYC...Lockdown is the last three days of the incubation where the eggs is not turned and is working to be born!!!!! It's exciting for all of us who love to incubate chicks and I admit I have that affliction!

Thanks for asking!!! Have a blessed day...Sunny in Georgia....3 eggs boxes ready to ship today!!! Waiting on one payment, sure it won't be a problem Because the auction just closed this morning and everyone doesn't keep farmer's hours!

Love, hugs and prayers to all....And remember if you need hatching eggs, or after this week, babies, let me know....They'll be rolling out steadily from the farm now until Frost!!!! Wahoo!

I'm a nervous Nellie, oops make that nervous Granny Nanny!!! How many times have I incubated????? rrrr......300 or so in the last 2 years....Everytime,,, anticipation anxiety....I miss them being in the house....I could peak at them all night long, in fact there is a worn out place on the wood walking the floors I did.....Now I walk almost an acre to get to them.....Sigh, I may just have to move the hatcher back to the house...This is cruel!!!!! for me.....LOL, probably good for them not to have the flashlight in their precious eyes!

I'm waiting!!! Thanks for the hatching hopes, prayers and vibes!

Oh!!! Good luck Nancy!! Am I gonna get to see the bebies tomorrow?! I absolutely adore fuzzy butts!!

My cabinet bator goes into lockdown on Sunday!

Hopefully that goes well, as this is a test hatch!!! Wish I had the hatcher finished, but I'll have it built and ready to use by next week!!!

Tomorrow... hopefully, a trip to Bowdon to see my Farmer Sista!!!

Looks like we haven't had introductions of new Georgians here in a while, so I'll jump out front and say hi! Just moved from FL to the outskirts of Newnan, GA and LOVE the country feel

I've been reading the forum for a few months now, and probably should have registered earlier (I know, I know...) but I received two dozen chicks and several ducklings from Ideal about 5 weeks ago, and watching them grow up has been great! Once I build the space for more, I'll start looking for anyone nearby to buy some eggs to fill an incubator with so I can watch them hatch myself

I imagine I bumped into a few of you at the CVPA fair last weekend, next time I'll be prepared and wear a BYC t-shirt or something

Looking forward to years of happiness in the country, and plenty of silly newbie questions for you guys!
