YO GEORGIANS! :)

Not really! If I didn't have chickens...YES but, with the chickens it's such a mess. All day yesterday they were not allowed to free range and they were miserable. I'm so glad the sun came out today so they could stretch their legs and wings. Being cooped up means having to change their shavings more often too.

A native!!! Whoot Whoot. So JacquiJ will you be coming to tomorrows show in Jefferson, GA or next month's show in Newnan? Would love to meet up with all our Georgians. What kind of Chickie's do you have at your house.

I like the beauty of the all white look too. It's just really hard with all this rain. I'm hearing my chicken's starting to sneeze and that scares me. Time to medicate, yikes!

You take care of yourself sweetie. That's a lot to do for just two. I sure hope the weather for driving tomorrow to Jefferson isn't bad. That would stink! Your babies are so cute. You have your hands full. Blessings and God's strength for you to complete the tasks you have.
You're leaving today? Do you take your chickens into the hotel rooms

I mean it's so cold at night for them to stay in the car right? Can't wait to meet you and your partner in crime...drive as safely as you can, hahaha but mostly be alert for the other guy who maybe an idiot on the road

Hope you get to feeling better. It ran through our house during Christmas, what joy! Wish you felt better. Stay rested up

Cinders I am going to blairesville to help out with my mom for a bit before my brother blows a gasket lol wish I could make a chicken show trip...once we get moved I will finally get to do that !!!!
I totally understand. I was the caregiver for my mom...my sister lives in AZ. She never took her and even when she would come visit she never said, "don't you lift a finger I am going to everything while I am here to give you a break"...nope I still did everything. My mom passed Christmas Eve this year. I would do it all over again. I'm glad you are going to give your brother a break. Care giving 24/7 is HARD! You want to move to GA don't you???

Yep! I will be going to the show in Jefferson

I cannot keep up with all the posting but that's a great problem. So much loving kindness and happiness here!!!! Wahoo!... And Silver1313, please you and all those who are caregivers. I was a caregiver for my saintly Mother and Dad. I respect and value what you do....You are earthly angels.... and now, my husband is my part time caregiver on the "slump" days. But I am still up and about and every moment is worth it. Milking done, breakfast done and now to check on maternity ward of the rabbits.... and feed and water the others....Hope to get to church today, if not am, then pm... Y'all have a great day!!!!!

I'm getting 5 Buff Orpington chicks. Right now I've set up a gigantic dog crate brooder. We used it for our bunny and it was more than enough room for him. Once they're old enough I'm going to move them to a doghouse that I have turned into a coop. My father in law is a builder and he's gonna come help us build the run.

Had a great time at the Jefferson show yesterday. Got to meet a few Backyarders. The members here are so nice ! My call ducks were the standouts from my crowd. My gray drake won Best of Variety, Best of Breed, Best Bantam Duck and Reserve Waterfowl. The gray hen won Reserve Best of Variety, Reserve Best of Breed and Reserve Bantam Duck. The show was well-run and the facility was very nice.
