Hahahahaa! My EE was giving me the "stink eye" when I was trying to take pictures of the Indian Runner Ducks to sell on Craig's List! I think she didn't like the idea of any of her friends going away! I am selling two of the drakes for $20 each if any of you are looking for Indian Runner Ducks. They are fawn and white and hatched 8-27-13.

Ugh! I just got 20 more pullets too, and so far I'm only getting 2 eggs a day from them, but most of them aren't of laying age yet, though they are getting close. Hopefully it will pick up once the new girls start laying...
 
UGH! Why does 10 days seem so long when you are waiting to candle eggs! I could go ahead and candle them now, but I usually wait until 10 days! This is only day 6! Seems like forever this time!

Because you are super excited to see whats going on inside of them. You may have seen clear on the Araucana eggs but atleast one of the Croad Langshan looks good so you are a nervous momma hoping for a good hatch! And the Araucana's could just have been hiding their veins from you!

Sorry to hear that. I know I am a bit bummed that I only ended up with 2 from my last hatch. Hubby and I stayed on top of the humidity and temp like watch dogs. My 2 littles are happy and healthy, I hope you get quite a few. It sounds like your odds are better as you have a lot more in the incubator.
 
My little pullet Sp00n got mad that I was taking pictures of the little cockrels I need to sell. She ended up giving up me the stink eye.

Yes, yesterday WAS cold!! Brrr. My girls only gave me one egg yesterday!

This morning I walked out there to find frozen waterers. I'm going to have to empty them each evening and put them away so it will be easier for me to fill them up each morning.

I made a treat for them since it was below freezing this morning. Some cooked oats & cooked rice, along with fresh collards. They tore it up!! So far I've gotten 3 eggs, and there are 2 on the nest right now!

Looks like I'll be cooking them something warm more often when temps are this low.
 
I actually did the same for mine. Cooked up some warm oatmeal with some fresh kale and baby spinach. They absolutely loved it. Sadly I still only got two eggs. I think they are holding out for more goodies lol
