YO GEORGIANS! :)

Coop is totally finished, except for STILL the trim on the eaves, lol. But the chooks are spending their first night tonight in it and they seem to already LOVE it!! Ol' Clyde mounted a hen a minute when I put them in there, until he'd gone through them all.

But lookie!!

4' Roost bar- it's big enough for now- I plan to "T" into it in the future for more space, and we do need to do the poop board tomorrow

OH- AND we sold hubby's old truck today! Yay Friday lol!

Incubator arrived today! I have it plugged in and am working on the temp. It's currently 115 degrees and 16% humidity. I don't think that's gonna work... Getting eggs next week!

Is there a tip sheet for the Hovabator anywhere? I'm researching dry hatching tonight, while hubby is at a daddy/daughter banquet with the girl...

Dry hatch is easier IMO. Try incubators anonymous for tips. Also look for hatching 101 by sally sunshine. Good luck!

So glad I am learning to sleep through the sound of screaming, pipped chicks! Its an everyday thing now, lol!

No sooner did I decide to keep the others outside in a doggie playpen with a heat lamp, but I walk back inside to two more fresh hatches!

So I had to clean the brooder cage immediately after all!

Okay. Down to 55 from 58 eggs. ALL 55 show development! 55.....Hopefully I get a second bator for my birthday next week. I'm eyeball in some English BBS and split lav Orpington.
