Soo I took a little egg-hunting outing today. Came back with less than I had hoped but at least I know the sweet spot now. I was a little worried how these would look when I got them home.. Dug them out from under the snow and they were sitting in glop (not to mention I have NO CLUE when they were laid lol), BUT I'm actually not too put off with how they look! They're a teensy bit smelly but not gross smelly, just earthy smelly and need to air out a bit I believe.

Anyway we will see. Snapped a shot of each. The air cell ends are stained so it looks like I'm off in my marking but the stain in the pics drowns out the actual air cell line. The cells are very even and well-defined, and yolks have a nice yellow glow and are defined as well an float freely.

Like I said they were in some yucky ground but we'll see. Last year I pulled a bunch of Mallard eggs out of some mucky-muck and had pretty good luck.

OH- and my bator did great while I was gone it was at 98.5 when I got home so I bumped it just a hair.

Oh well my cover is blown already..

You know what really chaps my hide? When DQ doesn't put the chipped chocolate in the bottom of my Peanut Butter blast.
