YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well, I'm getting Pilgrims and they are supposed to be among the nicest of gooses.  There, I feel better now.  I got to talk about my future geeses.   :clap

And the only geese you can tell the gender from day 1, based on color alone.

Ok, I found the video - I like that she didn't need any extra equipment (except an apron, and a basic place to hang them for further processing), which is sometimes hard to find when you need to make a quick decision. She had almost no fuss, and was so very gentle and respectful with the bird.

That's how I do mine.

I would appreciate your link Mrsdszoo. Thanks Car. She really is a pet more than just a farm animal. I have done the jugular on my grandparents farm. This is so different. I wish she would just die in her sleep! I can even manage to do an injection to help her pass, but I don't know what to give her. Would IV Lidocaine kill her? I have some of that...and I have medical supplies. There isn't much left to her breast anymore and its killing me every time I pick her up.

Cayugas = my favorite. They remind me of a rooster with black feathers.
Which makes his Cayuga infatuation all the weirder. I had some gorgeous English Black Orpingtons and he thought the roosters were so plain and boring and almost unattractive.
