He's beautiful! Except for his butt. Poor roo. And by the way General was so excited he tried to mount one of the 6wk old pekin ducks. It screamed like crazy. Poor thing.

Lol, no. But he did let her use his big "pond". I've got a big three-tiered fountain in their tank and he is the only one who STAYS in it. He's a box turtle, which are land turtles, but he STAYS in that fricking water. However, he let her take a dip the other day without harassing her. So I guess she gave in as a return favor.

FUNNY that this happened on VALENTINE'S DAY! Omg, I just thought of that! Hilarious!

Box turtles are funny when they breed though. The male literally locks his back feet into her shell, and then either sits there, or falls backwards. And quite often, she'll get up and walk around with the male still locked into the back of her shell, and still attached at the tail! She'll just drag him around until he's done and lets go!

His color is beautiful! But his tail is so sad.

I'd feel a lot better about things if I knew what happened. If I was 100% sure it was an injury I'd be thrilled to breed him.

I totally understand. Oh, and the babies went right in the brooder with my other ones and they're doing great.
