How sad is it that I'm actually excited for Mr Carcar and Mr Carcar Jr to go to church... So that I can hide in my dark closet and candle eggs to my heart's content without feeling judged/ashamed?

Umm I dunno, now I can't decide. :( I was hoping by this Friday we could make a trade but my dad's dumb ducks are dropping eggs in the pond this week lol! I may just end up coming to see you and buying whatever. I'm getting super impatient! I may go there an have a pep talk with those girls tomorrow. I hatched them better than this!!

What? What was the deal with the rooster? I missed that. And how long DOES it take once you separate them out? I've always wondered. Five days or so?

More like 2-3 weeks! Those hens can hold sperm and fertile eggs FOREVER!

It took about that long for my bantam cochin hen to STOP having babies from the LF phoenix roo. She's in with a frizzle cockerel now, who hasn't started breeding at all yet. But I sure hope he hurries up, because those are the babies I really want next! LOL!
