YO GEORGIANS! :)

My hatch is so screwed. I went to tsc to get feed. I had 5 hatched, humidity was about 65ish. Came home to 11 chicks and humidity at 80%! And 5 more have hatched since then and I can NOT get the humidity down. What. The. Crap. People. This still air is going to take some getting used to. Plus my FI design is identical to the old LG and I would lose humidity because the top never fitted right. This LG? Yeah. Its like Georgia in August.

Don't fret about this part. It's at the VERY end of the hatch, so they'll be okay. It's caused by all of the wet babies coming out of the shells, and the moisture from them and the shells is adding to the humidity in there. But you set all of yours at once, so most likely all of your chicks have already internally pipped. At that point, they're okay.

But if you're super worried, you can always lift the lid for a few seconds and fan the air out of it.

How many do you have now, LTygress? I'm up to 23, LMAO. I keep thinking, WHAT would I DO with all these if they actually hatched!? Hehe.

After about noon today, I'll be up to... 16. Maybe 17. LOL!

I've got another person coming to buy chicks at noon. She wants 7. I've got 23 now, but one has externally pipped, so it may or may not add to it by then.

My agenda for today is: Find out when I work next. Sell eggs at noon.. Delete all of my CL ads. Feed chickens and chicks. Buy more chick feed. TRY NOT TO BUY MORE CHICKS AT TSC.

Plus the various eat and sleep things.

Seriously, I actually just had to remove all of my CL ads though. I now have EVERY. SINGLE. CHICK. and hatching egg, sold through the middle of March. I've got an order for 24 leghorn mixes, lots of people wanting silkies, lots of people wanting easter eggers, and no more Sumatras set to hatch until about March 16th. Plus I just got an inquiry from a school in Conyers that wants to buy (although I plan to give it to them being a school) all of the hatching eggs I have between now and March 10th for classroom hatching projects (they need a total of 100, if anyone has some they want to toss in).

So I'm officially sold out for a little while!

Well, I've got 2 ladies coming to get chicks today. Woo hoo!
But before they get here I have to move the NYD babies in with the big kids, move the Lavs into their own pen, and clean the brooder. Oh the excitement! Lol.

I'm starting to have a bad day because I can't find my glasses. My room has been torn up. And I can't wear my contacts, because one of them is ripped pretty bad across the middle...
