YO GEORGIANS! :)

Okay, my goose eggs STILL say they "left the new hampshire" sort facility. But if the bar code was taped over, it won't read correctly, and they won't be scanned until they actually get "delivered" even though it's actually moving. So I'm about to call up to the office and see if they are actually in. I plan to go in an hour early anyway, just to case the cards that go with the coupon mail that everyone down here gets today. Little more organization before I get out on the road.

I'm HOPING they are here though. I don't want them sitting ANYWHERE other than my house tonight when the temperature drops!

Good grief ... just about lost one of the TSC "mallard" ducklings. They were having a bath and the boy child took his eyes off of them for a second and looked back to see one under water, drowning. He was limp and not breathing at all when I got him but I think he may make it now. Breathing well (though a little noisy which isn't great), chirping, and fussing to be let go. I'll have to keep a close eye on this little one that has now been named Anchor.

(The boy now believes me that they have to be watched constantly.)

Why is it, when I have a thousand things to do, the weather sucks and my child has to act like a turd monkey?

@GAMarans how's the alien doing? Making weird alien noises and all that?

Hi! I have Buff Orpingtons in the incubator, Easter Eggers and Light Brahmas are in the brooder. The Orpingtons will be hatching Friday and over the next two weeks. The Orpingtons and a maybe a couple of the Brahmas are for sale. I do have two pure Ameraucanas left from a black breeding trio I bought last year, but we lost the rooster this fall, so when they resume laying eggs, they won't be fertile unless I put an EE roo with them :(.
. So sorry about your roo. I might be interested in an EE. Once my breeding pens are set up, I want layers of all colors in the hen house.

My husband can NOT join -ever. How on earth would I ever sneak more critters into the farm if he was privy to all the plotting and scheming?! I let him play his computer games, and he doesn't ask too many questions about birds and beasts -that's the way I like it :)
. See, I kinda think I might look less nuts if mine joined. He could read posts in this thread and think "OMG that woman has 200 chickens! My wife's not that bad". And "Oh Honey, you only have one incubator...and it's an LG. You've shown such restraint...Let me build you something awesome!" Or "those ducks and turkeys sound cool. You should get some". That's how Hubby joining plays out in my head. Maybe I am nuts lol.

Mine has bought more eggs than I ever have. And he bought me an incubator.

But I'm married to Roboduck and, as you all have surely noticed, he's not quite exactly "normal."
