YO GEORGIANS! :)

So the two chicks I posted for free got a new home quick and tomorrow we are going to pick up 2 English Jubilee Orpingtons chicks, straight run. I hope they are females but guess we will not know for a few months. So for our first flock we will have 6 back yard chickens. I am a bit worried paying so much for the English Jubilee Orpingtons chicks as we want to free range a lot but don't yet know the predator situation here. (Lived here a week and don't know anyone local enough with chickens yet to give us a heads up) I have a feeling this first year having chickens might be a painful learning curve!

Gaahh -going to be a long night; the little zookeeper is having nightmares about hamsters again. Have no clue how this started, nor how to fix it. I mean really; hamsters?!

Take your chicks out to play in sun a few minutes the days before and while the cams are up. If you'll have a problem you'll know what's in the neighborhood that's scenting your chics
