What would you do? I had my daughter bring me some chickens from a farm in Florida. 3 true rumpless Araucanas and 3 Seramas and 4 Golden Cuckoo Marans. I asked for all pullets except for 1 male GCM. Well, of the 3 Araucanas - 2 were males and of the 3 Seramas - 2 were males. I think she took advantage of the fact that I was out of state and my daughter didn't know males from females. I knew they were boys as soon as I saw them. She said she can't tell until they are a few months old. I said "Bull" Anyway, I advertised my male Araucana and there is a man who wants them both...the boy and the girl. (The one with tuffs died early as they are likely to because the tuff gene is actually lethal to them.....it is really hard to get an Araucana with tuffs.) I'm talking about tuffs and not muffs/beards as an EE has. Anyway, I had really really wanted an Araucana. Do I sell this man the pair? I don't know where else to get another true rumpless Araucana. I would hate to have to go back to this lady, but she does have nice birds. My friend here also wants more of the Golden Cuckoo Marans. Do you think I should send over a stranger to her house and get some more? I made such a fuss over her sending me boys, I don't know how she would react if I ordered more! hahah.....talk about burning bridges! Should I sell this man the pair or do I just keep advertising the boy? It's hard for me because my DH has me on a chicken diet. No more chickens until we get down to 20 or so....I have 37 right now and love them all! I have one of like every breed (not really) but one each of the breeds I have. No two chickens are alike. All named with name tags on the door! I even know every egg and put the chickens initial on the top with the date it was laid! But, I still want a few breeds! Ugh! Why can't he be more like buddy or robodude and wants lots and lots of chickens! hahaha! don't tell my DH I said that! Does anyone out there know where I can get another true Araucana pullet if I sell this guy my pair?

You could borrow the smaller of the two traps that I have. It's about the size for cats, but I've had all kinds of chickens walk into it... silly birds! If she's small enough she'll fit fine, and you can put a can of tuna out like you do for cats. My chickens love tuna!

That is if you're willing to bring that 22 and shoot the possum I have in the bigger one, lol! Nah, I plan to drop him at Animal Control in a bit actually. And while I do plan to wash it, the carrier you sent me home with Lola in is how I plan to get him there.

Why can't you try to let the pair have fertle eggs you can hatch out, then sell??? Maybe get you a whole clutch??? I'm new to this so I really have no idea :/

I have a large pet carrier, would that work??
