Another thing to try is a big fish net. I've used it before to catch wayward chickens

Catching the chicken. I have another way to deal with the opossum

Oh no, I was offering you an actual small live-animal trap to catch her. I was telling you that you could borrow it, if you came and shot this possum in the bigger trap, that we talked about yesterday....

But I took the possum to animal control a few minutes ago, using the small animal carrier you sent with Lola when I picked her up from your house. So the possum in my bigger trap is dealt with. You're still welcome to borrow the smaller trap though, if you want to try and catch your chicken with it.
