I am the unhappy husband who she is talking about! Yes, I do believe there is a potential mental disorder when you start with 4 chickens and now we have 35. She swore on our marriage of 41 years that if I got her 8, she would never ask for another one. We peaked at 60 and she had no idea she had that many. Thanks to acts of God and bears, we are down now to 35 and she wants more! I can only believe that there has to be a common disease or disorder, there is something wrong. I am sure I will get no sympathy from anyone on here, but I assure you, there are many like me suffering!

The reason I had 60 chickens is because I had just hatched a bunch for my friend. That weekend, we sold 29 chicks and she took home all but 4, which I did keep. So, there!

I've got over 40 chicks! Plus silkies, large fowl, 3 ducks, juveniles, Ameracuanas, wyandottes, turkeys......
I refuse to do an actual head count.

A very late Good Morning to all;

I have cleaned, fed, and watered all house critters; the girls had breakfast, the little one got bathed, both are dressed, and I even got a shower. Woohoo! We're headed to the farm to take care of those critters, then going to Noah's Ark sanctuary for the afternoon. I've skimmed posts quickly, so congrats on the returned awol chicken and hatching peeps!
