YO GEORGIANS! :)

Just had some wonderful visitors at the GAM-Robo farm. It was great to meet you Chickie Momma and Mr. Chickie Momma. I sent Little Bit a cell phone picture of those adorable "pajama" chicken babies that you brought her ... she was so excited she almost canceled her sleep-over plans so that she could come home now to see them. Thank you so very much. Those plus the eggs we hatched from admad, my little girl has herself a nice little flock going. Sure wish it wasn't so nasty out so I could have shown you around. I almost broke my neck right after you left. lol

Here are Little Bit's new babies ...

My Light Brahmas are about 5 weeks old now, and I've still got them in a tub I've used for their brooder.

I've been taking them outside to a grow-out pen on nice days. Last night I turned off the heat lamp, since it was near 60 all night here. When do you think I can leave them out in the grow-out pen overnight?? (it's not a coop, just a chicken tractor. Shelter is a tarp.)

As long as they have all of their feathers, you can leave them out overnight.

Do the fruit trees self pollinate because we got a plum and that's the only fruit we have gotten?
It depends. Some fruit trees will self-pollinate, others won't. When I was at Tractor Supply last night, I found one self-pollinating Peach tree, but their only pear tree was not self-pollinating. I wanted pear, not peach, so I left without either one.

Did anyone notice that SPRING has SPRUNG! They said it would be a horrid stormy day, it has been very nice!

The birds are chirping, the grass/weeds are growing fast, the bugs are appearing and super happy. SPRING!:love
it may not have been raining where you are at, but in North GA it poured then the sun came out it poured then the sun came out all day until about 4ish. I had plans today, clean out the coop, work on the garden, but nope, Mother Nature would have none of that.

Oh, sorry to hear that though your grass will grow fast too!

Here in middle GA we have been spared the all day rainy stuff.

Here just north of you, we've been back and forth with rain. But the temperature is perfect for the rain, so it's not too cold, and not hot and muggy. It's just... warm. And rainy.
