YO GEORGIANS! :)

Okay, caught up. Now for my own exciting news. I got off work at 3pm, but been SO excited about this, I couldn't quite plop my butt down at a computer and start typing yet. Instead, I ran around telling everyone currently at the house (which includes my mom and brother today).

ALL THREE OF MY GOOSE EGGS HAVE EXTERNAL PIPS!!!!

OMG, OMG, OMG, I never expected these three to make it all the way. The ones I had waited over a year for all quit on me - and I had five of those. But the ones I bought on a whim from an auction in the BST forums arrived with detached air cells, but still developed and still successfully pipped both internally and externally! This morning, they were all chirping loud enough to hear them outside of the closet with the shells still in tact. So I knew it wouldn't be long. But now, they are ALL breathing fresh air, and should hatch within about 24-36 hours! I CAN'T WAIT! Here's hoping I don't get three of the same gender, though. Any other combination I can deal with, because I'll have at least a pair.

I'm about to lose A LOT of sleep tonight! They were due tomorrow, and it looks like they are going to hatch right on time!

So it's not just me. phew

Girl, abmaddox and I drove to the BuggyTown auction a little over a week ago, and passed by a bunch of buildings and I said "Oh, look. Those would be good for a coop..."

There have been times when I was in wal-mart and said "I bet that would make a nice incubator!"

And how do you think I got the idea for the screen arbor that I keep linking, in being a decent chicken pen?

And how do you think I also got the idea for using baby playpens as brooders?

When you learn to redneck some sh**, it all becomes chick or chicken housing! LMAO!

(Just take regular visits to the Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Thrift Stores, to see how your mind goes wild with ideas.)

Any time I see a yard sale I'm scanning for anything that can be used for the birdies. lol

Somebody post the running smiley for me, quick! I have four pips and one almost out!!
