YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hanging under the coop.

Do hens "sun" themselves? I found my pullet BO lounging in a sunny spot. Is that normal?

Oh god yes. On warmer days, mine LOVE getting out in the sun and spreading their wings!

Yesterday though, was dirt-bath day. They all "spread their wings" in the driest sandiest dirt they could find. I'm just glad it wasn't mud!

I'm sorry you have lost so many :hugs

My daughter got the chicks and ducks into the coop/run. No issues at all. One of the hens has gone broody. DH found a Craigslist ad for Orpington Roos and email the person. Says they are in griffin. I'm pretty much in the house with maybe daily outs to check on chicks but that's it. Sorry I haven't been on much, just feel crappy. I'm hoping to sit on the porch today due to my hummingbirds are coming in and I so love watching them. That's all that has been going on here. Hope everyone has a great day. :)

This is why I can't bring myself to do chicken/goose/rabbit diapers. AB and I were just discussing this today; we're all diapered out

@ChickDancer , We admire your dedication, but we'll leave that to you :) . Those water birds are absolutely cuter than cute; I wish they stayed that way! Makes me miss the ducks I had at our school barn in high school (named after the seven dwarves, but we didn't have all seven)

Hehe, no problem!
You guys probably think I'm crazy. But my breeder birds are my pets. I admit it. And phoenix is too valueable to lose. Plus he's getting his own two females on Monday! I've already lost my gold polish since setting up that pen, so I don't want to lose him too. Different reasons, but still valid in my opinion, lol.
