Today is officially a crappy day. I went out back to feed some almost-rotten veggies to the chickens that my mom gave me. They were still edible, but soft and about to be bad for eating too. When I got out there, I chased a little loose half-silkie chick into the giant trap. Now we tend to take any dead chicken and put them in the trap - especially the ones killed by predators. It draws them back into the trap, and draws new ones in, too. So that's where my nephew 'disposed' of Phoenix. But as I removed the bait basket to get the little chick, Phoenix moved his legs. He was still alive. My nephew hadn't killed him, he just dumped him in the trap thinking he was already mostly gone and would finish his life there! So here's my poor Phoenix, upside down, in a tiny cage in a wildlife trap, and unable to turn himself upright, but still alive!! W... T... F...
And during all of this, I'm arguing with my sister because she used my debit card last weekend, got lazy about returning it, and now she can't find it. I've torn my room up to prove to her that it's not in my possession. The bank I use doesn't have a branch. They have a main office - in Texas. So without my debit card, I have NO access to my own money, even for gas. And starting tomorrow, I'll be working 7 out of the next 8 days. I need gas in my car. And I already had to pull teeth just to get her to give me money that she owes me. Now to ask her for gas money because SHE lost my debit card....
I'm probably more upset about the debit card issue because of Phoenix. It's like the icing on the cake of being screwed over by the irresponsible people around me. Sorry for the vent. Had to get the tears out.
