YO GEORGIANS! :)

So little goose baby popped out of his shell!!!
I promptly put him back in because he hasn't absorbed everything. Hopefully in the morning he'll be good to go! And at least 1 more has internally pipped!
I'm going to bed so I don't just sit and stare at the eggs. Night peeps!

If the bulge on his belly is only about an inch wide or less, he'll absorb it within MINUTES and be okay to hatch anyway. Geese seem to disconnect themselves from the blood vessels and THEN absorb the yolk. But it seems to be a VERY quick thing to absorb the yolk, though.

Where is everyone? Why are you people sleeping the day away? Rain tomorrow. Get up and make the most of today. If I have to be up then so should y'all be. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!
I'm up. I have to go to work in a few. Wish I was "making the most" of the day and taking care of things outside. It cooled back down, so it should be a comfy 72 today - not 89!

Yup I agree. Gotta finish the chicken run today! I swore I would put posts in and get the darn avian net properly hung up.

Errrgggg! I decided on an electric poultry net so I could move the run to fresh grass in the back field as desired and have been struggling with that darn avian net ever since.

I can't believe how much I have spent on the small little coop and fence! I keep thinking "okay this is the last I will spend on this setup, just some paint and some hardware etc..." and that is never the case! Just had to buy a freaking weed eater to keep the poultry net grass in check and buy yet MORE avian netting to fit over the fence.

So now I have two phoenix females expected to come in on Monday, and no rooster to put with them. Same thing with the polish, and now him. Lose the rooster, and then the females arrive for them.

Since the ligament won't reattach, I'm having him put down right now. I called McMurray and by PURE CHANCE, I managed to get one added to the order before they shipped it. They are shipping my large fowl tomorrow.

So Phoenix is going to be free of pain in a few minutes. I'm both upset and pi$$ed. These girls almost literally killed this rooster because of their petty theft habits. He had survived for six days with no scalp. And I lose him because they stole his bandaging...

oh no! So sorry about phoenix! :hugs

Because I can't sleep; I am going through today's photos: Somebunny's trying to blend in: Size comparison with a ten-day-old chick: Purse-bunny stealth mode at Zaxby's: Houston, the turkey is laying: See that black shadow next to the waterer on top of the rabbits? That's "Shadow Ninja" of the Kitty Committee. He appeared silently out of nowhere, and disappeared the same way moments later. This is the first good sighting of him since they were released from their holding pen. We usually just see tracks, and I don't think he hangs out with the other two. He's a secretive little ninja.
Cute bunnies You do have a problem (bunny in purse) :lau Yay for turkey eggs! Awesome ninja ;)
