YO GEORGIANS! :)

I don't know what breed he is either but looks like he is doing chicken math on that blackboard. Better get him a girlfriend to help him with his multiplication.

He hopefully has 5 girlfriends! I think they are all girls at least, none look male! (to me anyway! LOL)

Our Roo, all the way to the right and his 5 (hopefully) girls! You can only see the butt of the female that is the roo's same breed behind the white EE. The one in the back is fully black. Still not sure what they are either as the black one with brown neck ring was from the same bin. Supposed to be pullets though! We shall see!

Hey! SO!!  I got to meet MrZoo and the little Zookeeper today.  She is SO adorable.  And I got some building ideas for my next coop.  MrsZ is quite the constructionist.

I'm still so bummed that I wasn't home. I mean at the farm, but same difference. Murphy's law for pet groomers: there's no such thing as a quick groom, and any shih-tzu that can bite -will. The critters appreciate that I bring in feed money, even if I miss company for it. I'm sure the little zookeeper talked enough for the both of us though! I don't build pretty things, but they're functional. I leave the artsy stuff to people less apt to say things like "woops; well...I can make that work...good enough."

What kind of chicken is this? 7 weeks old and I think it is clear it is a rooster! My kids named him when he was tiny "Raptor" he just had such a different personality than the rest and it is kind of cool to find out Raptor is actually a boy. We never planned to have a Roo but I can't picture not keeping him. But what breed is he? His bin was labeled Silver Laced Wyandottes.... thats not right! LOL
Could he be a Speckled Sussex? Those white spots with "eyes" remind me very much of one.

Lol either a stun or heat then. Glad to know the chick is ok now. When we came to visit here 7 yrs ago my BIL gave each of the girls a baby chick. My youngest then 5 climb up on top of the compound wall and was sitting over the entry gate. She was told to get down to eat lunch and said she couldnt with the chick in hand. My niece said toss it down. Poor baby, my niece didnt catch her and its neck got broke. My daughter and her were in tears. He got her an older chick the following market day. This time around when we can have all we want most are not even paying attention. My second daughter went into the bathroom while the chicks were in getting some freetime, one jump up on her while she was 7n there. I told her they got friendly fast! Now that the balcony is warmer I will put them in the hutch during theday. They loved playing in the clean sand. Soon as they get big enough I will move them upstairs. Only predators there is our dog if he gets off leash and a occasional owl but they are covered completely.

We had cockatiels and 24 babies once. We painted their toe nails different colors and kept a notebook until they feathered out. They all had different markings/color combos. I guess try that? Im new so I just buy different colors now to see what I get I photo often then I can go back when I need more and look for certain colors. No one can tell me breeds due to language differences most dont have our common names either. But I have seen some monster chickens here! Photos in public is still a touchy thing especially from a woman but you find folks will warm up to you soon enough.
