YO GEORGIANS! :)

A belated Good morning to all :)

We are all recovering from a very full day outdoors yesterday, the non-highlight of which was changing a tire on the Prius at 9 pm in the dark and in the dirt.

Today, because of the expected rain, I will quickly take care of farm chores and then do indoor critter stuff. I have a couple of rabbit cages to put together, and some chick brooders to clean (always fun indoors -not!). I will also be planting...wild jungle peanuts :) . Don't they sound like an ingredient in a Willy Wonka creation?!

I'm thinking speckled sussex What kind of chicken is this? 7 weeks old and I think it is clear it is a rooster! My kids named him when he was tiny "Raptor" he just had such a different personality than the rest and it is kind of cool to find out Raptor is actually a boy. We never planned to have a Roo but I can't picture not keeping him. But what breed is he? His bin was labeled Silver Laced Wyandottes.... thats not right! LOL

My girls are busy this morning! I went out an hour ago to see if I had any breakfast.. Nope.. So we came back in and I used some of my other eggs (like 2-3 days old but I just wanted fresh-fresh lol).

Went back just now and they all laid an egg while we ate. :lau

That's why I stay off those breed threads. I love my brahmas too. They are hatchery, but I think they're gorgeous. I think yours are beautiful!!!

Checkout the "backyard brahmas" thread. I love that thread, because no one is there bashing peoples birds for poor show quality. I'm on a tablet and can't post the link, but if you look at my profile, you can find my posts in that thread.

smarty pants girls, lol.

Afternoon all. Just enjoyed a late breakfast, courtesy of the girls ;)
Now to clean house, scoop poop, and clean bucket brooders so I can put out some fresh bedding for the babies.
Ok folks, I'm too lazy to catch up on over 200 posts. Tell me if I missed anything important. :p
