YO GEORGIANS! :)

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
I already tracked my shipment of chicks and saw they were in Atlanta, and JUST NOW got the automated phone call from McMurray telling me they had shipped.

Um, you're a bit late, Mr. Automated Voice. Thanks though!

(Although oddly enough, I also didn't get an email telling me they had shipped either. I logged in to my account, and noticed there was a tracking number, and clicked on it. That brought up the USPS website that said the package was in Atlanta already.)

How exciting. Can't wait to see pics of what you got!

Good morning friends! Today I get to pick up my two blue laced reds! They are not sexed so cross your fingers for me that they are hens :)

we got 2 new chicks yesterday...hoping they are both pullets. I have no idea what they are (newbie) but they are the ones my Granddaughter Hallie who is 4 picked out:) We got them from a friend who has about 150 chickens, and she did tell me what they were, but since it didn't really matter, I can't remember:) Neither of them have been handled much at all, so they were really scared of us when we tried to hold them. This morning was different....they both still ran from me, but when I caught them and held them for a while, they settled down and seemed to enjoy it. I've got 8 chickens now...2 appear to be roo's so we will be back to 6 when they are gone. Then I will pick two that I like:) One will be a buff orphington since the one I got is looking like it's a roo:( Now that my Granddaughter just left to go home after spending the night, I will have time to get the rest of the cedar shavings out of the run. I replaced the ones inside of the coop and part of the run the other day, but never had time to finish getting them all out. I'll let the chickens free range while I clean out their run. Free ranging here consists of a 20x20 dog pen converted to a chicken run:) They love it in there!
Here are pics of the two we got yesterday....
