A very adorable thing happened this morning. My little brother, only six, tried to throw a rock at a hawk because it was sitting near the chickens and ducklings. He hurt himself more than anything else and scratched up his hands but ran inside proudly letting me know that he protected his sisters flock. He is the sweetest little farmer!
Unfortunately I'm going to have to inform him that we can't hurt hawks or someone's going to be in big trouble, but at least he tried.

Shh, don't tell him about the "no hurting hawks" rule. They can't prosecute a 6-year-old for that! LOL!

You and me both. My birds are so sweet I can't wait to find their first eggs. Fred will be happy as that is when he can join my baby girl in the same space without wire between them.

I'm curious to know why you don't put them together now. Are they vastly different ages?
 
I got my 2 blrw's today! That puts me up to 11 birds in my kitchen! And I blame carcar and every single one of you on the forum! When I joined I was happy with my 4 little birds outside, then BAM! Now I have an incubator and eleven chickens in the kitchen.... Does anyone have BCM chicks for sale?

I guess I'll just put it on their vents and a dab under each wing?? Ugh. I hate chemicals lol.
