YO GEORGIANS! :)

Mannn.. Nothing but busy signal at the PO.

I really hope my hold goes through and my eggs don't go on the truck!

Go up there. They open at 8:30am.

And depending on your area, the carriers might not leave until about 10:00 or so. That means if you meet them first thing in the morning, they can get it BEFORE the carrier leaves with it.

In the meantime, I have to wait another 15 minutes or so for McMurray Hatchery to get their phone operators up. Stupid Central Time Zone...

GRR!

These people...

First of all, upon closer inspection, I only have TWO white bantam cochins. The third little white chick is... a silkie! Not my own, either. So ***?

"I ordered five white frizzle cochin bantams, and one white large fowl cochin male, and there's only two white chicks in the entire box, and they're both bantams."
"okay let me look it up... ... okay the white cochins are going to be a light yellow color."
"Yeah and there's only two of that color in the box."
"okay I'm going to put a note on your account, call us back in about two weeks once they feather out and you can tell what it is."

**Thinking: B*TCH I know what a white chick should look like! And I know this third white one has black SKIN under it's down, and an extra **** toe! All of my other chicks should be blue, silver, or black, but you can't account for the LACK of white chicks when that's exactly what I ordered!"

"Okay, I'll call you back then, but I also have issues with the blue cochins and blue silkies."
"okay what's wrong there?"
"I got 7 bantam cochins, I'm missing one silkie, and only got one LF blue cochin. I know the silkies have black skin and extra toes, and I've definitely only got four like that."
"okay, I'll make a note of that one too, make sure you call us back in about two weeks and tell us exactly what you've got."

"Okay I also lost some of the silver sebrights in transit."
"okay, I'll go ahead and put that in there too. When you call us back, we'll figure out then if we can send replacements or credit you."
"Alright, talk to you in two weeks..." *click*

I KNOW WHAT BREEDS I HAVE AND WHAT I DON'T HAVE. I'm not stupid. Yeah maybe it is difficult to tell between bantams and large fowl blue cochins (since I did order both) but come on! Silkies are obvious! And NOT having as many white chicks as I ordered should be obvious! I'm NOT stupid!

Aww :( So frustrating and disappointing!

Talked to them!! :D At first he said it wasn't there.. Then I gave tracking # and he said ok, it is she just hasn't yet gone thru her packages. So YAY!!! Hubby can pick it up for me at 3:30. :clap :clap

I know the picture was bad, but the answer is: None of them.

The two that you see in the food and water bowl are both silkies. The one in front, in the food, you can barely see his darker face caused by the black skin. The one standing in the water is more obvious, as you can see his black beak, black skin around his eyes, and black legs. Also those two silkies are from my own pair - not from McMurray (they just got moved out of the incubator before I snapped the photo).

But neither of the chicks in the photo are Cochins. A white COCHIN will have yellow beak, yellow down, and yellow feet, just like a normal leghorn would (well, plus feathers on their feet that the leghorn doesn't have). So clearly, I have some clue as to what I'm talking about. And the others in the photo are clearly NOT white. So when I call them and tell them I only got two white chicks in the entire box, wouldn't most people know the difference?

GRRRR! I'm just so p*ssed about this. Clearly the problem was with the guy packing the box (apparently someone named Roger - it's on the label). HE is the one who doesn't know his breeds of chickens and chicks.
