YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hello

First the baby mocking birds in the nest go missing. (They still had their eyes closed) and now 3 of our chickens are gone. We accidentally didn't close them in their hutch last night and now 3 are gone, fairly certain taken by a predator.

Our favorite ones too. Raptor, Moon, and Jain. The top three in the pecking order actually. Found a pile of feathers that look like Raptors in the yard. Clear free ranging them here isn't an option. I was actually going to get the ducks out soon into the yard but now.... going to wait till they are fully feathered and have a secure enclosure.

What would the coop looks fine, the water not knocked over or anything even. What would take three birds in one night/morning with little trace?

Anyone in NW GA be interested in buying some pullets? My best friend has lost her income and has decided to start downsizing her flock to save on the feed bill. She has RIR, BR, SLW, BSL, 1"production red", some EE's.... about 30 in all. All are this year's chicks, purchased in Feb and Mar from TSC, local feed store, and an individual. Thanks in advance!

Yes PM me. I have been looking for pullets!

It's been more frustrating because I know I've got almost everything I need here to take care of it. And I've probably TRIED using everything, too. But nothing works. Corid? Nope. Tetracycline? Nope. Penicillin? Nope. DE and Sevin Dust? Nope. Marek's? McMurray chicks are vaccinated, most of my own are vaccinated, and they are too young to show the signs of Marek's problems.

Whatever is killing them, I can't seem to treat it. But now that they have a Poultry Lab about 15 miles away, and since the technician lives right here in High Falls, I'm going to get answers so I can pinpoint treatment.
Marek's vaccine does not always prevent them from getting it. It exposes them to the virus in the hope that that they build an immunity too it. I hope that's not what it is for you! I'm dealing with what I think is Marek's right now and it breaks my heart to see her struggle and not eat or drink. I'm having to physically feed her and give her water 3x a day hoping it's not Marek's and it is something treatable... Do you have any older chickens getting it?

I figure most of this group is more worried about the code enforcement folks than actual cops...
Hahahahaha

Ok, get past the goat pictures.... that is actually a really nice looking rooster....
