It's going to take a lot of those to make a decent omelet.

Hasnt hatched them yet. Still in egg. Have to block her off from polish I recently got who keeps trying to mate her in nesting box. I just wasnt sure if I should move her and eggs.....away from flock while hatching

Alright so I am sitting out here with my chickens trying to figure out who laid the egg.

I just had 2 chickens come over holler at me and squat. I reached over both times and pat them on the back.,hahaha as soon as I did the other chickens pecked at them.

Most of my girls have small pale combs but a few have bigger redder combs. So based on squatting and combs and my very uneducatedness on chickens since I am a total newbie... The chicken I think laid the egg.... A white rock.

I am trying to get some picks loaded but they don't seem to want to.

Sorry, misunderstood. I thought you were taking mom away from the eggs. If the other chickens are causing problems, you may very well want to separate mom and babies from the rest of the flock.

Our only Polish Pullet died tonight. She was laying around a lot today so I thought maybe she was getting ready to lay an egg. Our EE Roo though would not leave her or any of the hens alone today though. Maybe he hurt her with trying to mate? It could also have been dehydration as she was stuck in the coop this morning, some how the coop door was shut, we have water in that coop, the open duck coop, and the duck pool so if one runs out they all have more but not with her suck in the coop and it was hot today. Everyone else seems great. We moved them to the new shed coop this afternoon. I don't think it was too stressful though as all the chickens where in the yard anyway.

Husband said I can look for a new polish or two when he gets back from his trip in a few weeks. It was my sons chicken though, her name was cup cake, and he will be very sad when we tell him.
