HA!! Just for being you my tail end. He sent you flowers thanking you for going to work and giving him some time without you. BTW, holler if he needs help building that run. I can hold the boards while he nails them.

@Book were are the baby chick pictures? Can you give an update on how your hatching is going?

I meant to but goodness things got busy here. They are so adorable!

It looks like a lot of late deaths but over all we got 10 out of 17 eggs! 10 chicks are doing great and we are so happy with them!

Took them out for a second this afternoon (100 degrees + in the sun here! Ugg) to take a picture. (I had husband and 2 helpers right there waiting to catch chicks should the chicks try to make it off that chair, thankfully they didn't even try!

1 - White Silkie (From @valleychicks your daughters egg) It is the grey one from left.

1 - Black Copper Maran Chick (black and white)

2 - Black/red barnevelders

6 - Sizzle/Silkie/Cochin chicks we will not know what they are till they feather out! All have vaulted heads and some fun coloring I have no idea what they will look like. LOL)

In part of their temp brooder bin before they all fully dried off. Going to put them on sand this weekend! (What kind of sand?)

I want to know how you keep poo from being on those roosting boards!!!???
I use Masonry sand in the coop and run and try to paint all the roosts, walls, ramps, etc. with interior/exterior low odor paint. It cleans up great with white vinegar and water. I use a kitty poo scoop for the poop board and a modified shrub rake for the floor of the coop for a quick scooping each day. We also use the sand in the run but we only have a small area of it for them to bathe in for now. We are waiting until they eat or scratch all the grass in the new run then we will put the sand all over the run.
