Just had to brag on my chickens...they are 25 & 30 weeks old. Monday, out of 10, I got 9 eggs (all time high thus far). Then on Tuesday, they followed up with an 8 egg day!

My skelter is full!

OH, Wow! I'm glad you found it! This gives me an idea. That is a nice raised bed area, now I've got to show my hubby. We have been trying to find a way to cover a large area of our yard for our chickens to semi free range without hawks getting to them.

Well don't I feel like a moron!

I have been listing chicks online in different areas now for days. My sister then asks me if I am listing chicks for sale and it hits me, weeks ago she asked if I would have chicks for her when he visited as she would love some. I told her I would have a lot by then and promised her them. Of course I then forgot and when felt overwhelmed with chicks I ended up listing them online. Thank goodness she saw and reminded me. Course she is happy to get free chicks. She said she is taking some back for my mother and aunt as well. Just 2 more weeks with too many chicks..... LOL

Speaking of ... vet says we may be looking at up to two more weeks. (Though she could change a lot in as little as three days.)

Someone posted about using fermented feed, who was that? And did you buy it or make it? Currently in using organic feed by coyote creek. It's fine, but I think my hens are on the small side. Had to bring one in to the vet yesterday... She was under weight 2.9lbs for 5 months old.

We do fermented off and on. We make ours.

Anybody have inside chickens? I spoiled my momma and babies and my NN and now they think home is in house lol. They dont go in the coop to sleep now! I dont mind they sleep.
