Would you guys wanna help me sex my silkie???

How old? Do you have Pictures? I have 3 white Silkie Pullets, 2 white Silkie Roo and one black supposed to be blue Silkie Roo.

I'm not sure. All of our Silkie Roos are 5 months old and have wattles and a bigger comb. Ours have all been crowing for at least a month. The spiky look on your Silkies head looks kind of like a Roo. Maybe someone else would know if this is a roo or pullet. I tried to find some pictures of our Silkie hens but the pictures aren't very good. I will keep looking.

This one is from MPC and was supposed to be blue but looks more black with a little partridge coloring.


The two white ones are from my daughters Silkies. She hatched quite a few earlier this year.

I'm thinking Roo but you should know pretty soon. You will either hear crowing or get an egg. One of our 5 month old Silkie Pullets has been laying for a couple of weeks. Actually she has gone broody now.

Umm would a rooster lay on top of two copper maran chicks? Because I just turned on the lights where I'm keeping the chicken and I found it just laying on the chicks, if it is a too I'm happy its friendly

Yes, Silkie Roos will act like a mother hen when there isn't a mother hen around. The picture of the second white Silkie roo I posted is my daughter's (his name is Stormy). He is staying with all of our chickens until she can get a bigger coop. Anyway he raised um..I think she stopped counting at 18 chicks. He would keep them all warm and teach them how to eat and drink. Her 2 year old Silkie rooster even helped the hens sit on the 10 chicks she let the hens hatch because she got tired of checking the incubator.
