We have 2 10 day old Silkies and 2 10 day old black sex links. They are so cute right now. So fun to watch!!! What kind do you have?

I have one of many different breeds. I like to tell my chickens apart and I like to have many different colored eggs. I have about 38 chickens right now. Some are still too young to lay. I can't wait until this spring so I can get some more blue and olive green egg layers. You are just starting with your chickens. It will be fun to see how long you stay with only 4 chickens! hahahaha.......it's called chicken math.....you just have to have more!

Why do I always get so depressed at Christmas? I think it is because I miss having all my family here to celebrate with! After having 4 children and 5 grandchildren around most my adult life, (and 4 sisters while growing up), the house just seems so empty at the holidays when the kids are so far away. I don't even bother decorating any more. Seems like a lot of trouble just for us. Oh well. Hope every one else has a great Merry Christmas!
