YO GEORGIANS! :)

They appear to be great large egg layers from the chart i've been reading, He's into survivalist training so he is wanting a dual purpose bird that is a high quantity egg layer.

They have been wonderful. We just have too many and since we have other ducks as well the Pekin population needs to be cut. I have 6-7 that I need to get rid of. I want at least one in the freezer (GAMjr LOVES duck, just like her awesome mother does). I'll probably cull a drake which should leave, if I remember, 2 drakes and 3-4 ducks.

We have 20 Khaki Campbell eggs in the incubator. Not so impressive from the meat standpoint but the egg production is supposed to put a lot of chickens to shame.

T1-11 is in the plywood section and it is heavy. You will find 2 different thicknesses of T1-11 one is essentially a 1/2" and the other is 3/4". T1-11 is very expensive since it is a real plywood siding. There are 2 alternatives that look like T1-11. One is a MDF siding which will work but will need to be caulked and regularly painted. The other is an OSB material which will be somewhat more durable than the MDF style wood. Neither of which come close to the durability of true T1-11 and thus explains the cost difference.

@CliffB thank you so much for the explanation. Any suggestions on what could be used that is light weight and yet predator proof? Would vinyl siding work?

Is anyone hatching ducks for the swap? A friend of mine is looking to get into ducks as a source of hardy egg layer and he wants to get started around January or February and it would fit perfectly in the timeline for the event. If no one has any hatch i'm sure he can just purchase through TSC during our chick days at the end of February but i thought this would give him a chance to ask duck owners questions and gain knowledge before jumping into it.
I might try and bring a few adults also. all 7 stoped laying I in the last 2 weeks.

The list i just read showed the KC being a high quantity layer and a heavy weight layer. Not bad at all from a production standpoint.
