YO GEORGIANS! :)

katsdar...hello. I noticed your avatar said summerville. I live out in the county (gordon) not in town. What do you raise? I am trying to establish pure breed american standard buff orpington hens crossed with a GREAT LINEAGE english buff orpington rooster. His name is ~General Lee~. We are SO ANXIOUS for warmer weather so we can hatch some eggs to see his chicks.

I told two female employees at our local TSC in Thomson GA about the swap and they said they would love to have one there and wanted to know if I could start one. How do I start a swap at a TSC? They said their store doesn't have outside electric hookup for heat lamps so they figured that was why no one had started on there in the past.
You can tell them to call me and i can walk them through it. Also we do not have outside electric but 99.9% of our customers are hunters or farmers and own generators so that problem was solved very quickly.

caecar, any more chicks?

Yes! Up to six now and looks like the remaining three will hatch overnight, if the Good Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise.. . :D

Carcar, Flower and GAM what breed chicks are y'all hatching? and are they for the swap? I can't keep up with all the forum threads I am following. I got totally lost on the auction.

Mine are EE and not sure on the swap. So far I only have three pullets I've kept and was hoping for more. So I think I'll grow out thus hatch and maybe the next long enough to sex them.

My next round to go in will be for-sure Olive eggers! I'm excited!

They said they were told by their rep that they would need a customer to start it but I will tell them what you said. Just call your store and ask for Cliff?

Well we moved we actually live on the armuchee/summerville line beautiful bird, I was crossing RIR with Buff orphs hens and those were very pretty birds, had a lot of people wanting them, hens were great large eggs layers and the roos were very nice size like your boy stocky and they were taller

I have ordered OEs due to ship in June. I can't wait! I have an EE that my broodies hatched Jan 1st and I'm still trying to figure out it's gender. I have a friend that wants it if its female. I can't wait for the swap. I want to see all the animals that others bring.
