Where is everyone? 11 hours and no comments! Well, I am just starting day 21 on my hatch. I have 3 out and 7 pips (out of 32 eggs). I have a feeling I will be exhausted tomorrow. I can't stand not seeing them hatch because I then know which chick came from which egg and therefore know what the chicks mom was! So far, I have one from my Isbar, one from my Wyandotte and one from my one mix hen that I have. I think one of the NN eggs is pipping. Will know soon!\

Oh yea, my little Brinsea Mini came today!

Congrats on the pips and hatches Flower and CarCar. Flower did you ever order the square shaped bator with the large view? I order a hovabator genesis 1588 with egg turner yesterday. The bator is coming out of Jacksonville, FL so I hope it gets here pretty quick. I can't wait to fire it up. Flower didn't you say that is the one that you have? It had a good review.

LOL I was just being silly bc we had posted at the same time..

And yeah, what valley said.. I want to hear bator opinions. I think I want a new one too. I just can't justify a cabinet at this point (who am I kidding.. Ever!) but would like something more easily adjusted than the lg. Something digital!

just break down and get a cabinet. I got a older 1202 sportsman last fall and it has been great. The only problem I have had is the main thermostat wafer when bad this weekend but it has a backup for just in case. I found mine on cl for 200. I just had my first chick hatch and one more has piped.the rest should be piped by tomorrow I hope.

Yes, I have the Genesis 1588 with turner. Love it! Digital, has a great viewing window and it has a deep base. I like the deep base.
chicks don't fall out if you have to do an emergency 'take out'

I wanted that little square incubator so bad, but it was coming from China. We googled the reviews from the company who manages the websites of over 5000 companies and the reviews weren't good. They said a lot of times they show one thing, but send something else. Plus, a bunch of reviews said they were promised their items in like 8 -10 days and it took about 3 months! At this point, I decided to go with a sure thing and got the little Brinsea mini eco.. Remember, I just want it for lockdowns of no more than 10 eggs at a time, so it is ok.

BTW!!!! I have 16 chicks out and 11 pipping! (of 32 eggs) DH wanted to know if I wanted to go to get breakfast and go to town to get new shoes and a replacement chain for my broken necklace. ummm, NO! I want to stay and watch all my babies hatch!

I'm pretty new at this thread but I'm really impressed with "DH"...!

He really gets around...everyone refers to how helpful he is (mostly). Sometimes he doesn't want more chickens and other times he says bring em on...!

He seems to have more energy than the energizer bunny...!

He must be pretty smart also based on all the decisions he has to make.

And how in the world does he know where to find everyone in their time of trouble...?

He must really have a souped up bat mobile...!

And the biggest question....who is this masked man....?????

Oh good on the Brinsea. I have heard great things about it. I wanted one too but need something bigger. Are there any tips I should know about the getting the Hovabator to work it's best?

YAY! On the 16 chicks and 11 pipping and I understand totally about wanting to stay and home and watch the eggs.
