YO GEORGIANS! :)

Got back home a little while ago from spending the day with our DD. She is still doing well. She will get another ultrasound tomorrow. My DH and I arrived at the hospital around 11:30 today and spent the rest of the day with her. At 4:30 her husband came in from work and took her to a secret surprise baby shower that the folks she works with threw in a conference room at the hospital. . She was so surprised and had a great time. Now to bed! ((YAWN))

Caught Chaser (work cat) in the kennel and brought him home last night.

He's completely terrified so I put him in the bathroom still inside the kennel. He won't come out, but at least he'll have a safe, quiet place to get used to the new sights, sounds, and smells of his new home.

I know he's sensitive. He's proven that over the past several weeks here at work.

I'm starting to think getting him a cat room set up would be best. He'll have plenty of room to hang out and be able to adjust at his own pace.

Ugh, told this weekend's renters not to try to come up before 1 this afternoon because the roads/driveway is nothing but snow and ice. Did they listen.....NOOOOO! They tried to get here at 9am! So guess who gets to get all their cars unstuck! Yep, hubby and I. We are having to park their cars 2 miles away and unload them into our 4 wheel drive truck and take them to the house....very slowly. It is even tricky for our high up truck, much less their little compact cars! Oh well, they seem to be a really nice family. We like them already. It's funny how you can feel like family right away with some people!

Our postman called and wanted to know if we want to come pick up our hatching eggs or let him bring them. DH told him that if he holds the box between his legs to keep the eggs warm and comfy, he could bring them! hahahha! My DH is a mess, as those of you who have met him know! So, my eggs from FL are already here! Problem is that I didn't want to set them until next Thursday! Way too early....the eggs will be older than I had hoped for. I told her I wanted them for a March 5th set day, too! Oh well, will have to keep them turning until then!

Wonderfully!

I had to stop adding new ones last week as I dealt with the drama from the ice storm (trees, branches, computer), but the girls LOVED the last batch! My mother gave me some BOSS I'm growing as well. Gonna be starting more barley fodder this weekend. I used your egg carton idea until I could get the hang of it.

Thank you so so so much!!!!!!

Where are you guys getting your grain for fodder? I'm concerned with buying some of the stuff for planting as it is often treated. I would love suggestions!!

Oh and BTW, My DD just told us our new grandchild is going to GIRL! Yea! So grandsons = 4, Granddaughters = 2! Now, if I can get my younger two children married, I might could get some more!

Carcar, you have Brahmas.....my Brahma boy is sooooo big. I mean, he is huge and he still hasn't matured yet. My DH says he looks like something out of Jurassic Park. Do/can they hurt the hens? Like squish them? He is twice the size of anything I have out there! I don't have any Brahma females, only all sorts of other breeds. Should I worry?!?!
