YO GEORGIANS! :)

Who was it on here that was raising specifically silver duckwing OEGB? My favorite chick is one and is turning out to be a boy, so I might have to re-home. He's a pretty little thing though, I'm almost tempted to keep him. Anyone have any experience with the no-crow collar?

I must be a bad person because the 'karma' that comes my way sucks! LOL Got up this morning and went to turn the eggs (the polish I have been trying so hard to get) and the eggs were cold! This was my mini bator. The multi-plug unit the bator was plugged into apparently broke! Then, I had an incubator that went into lockdown last night, but it had duck eggs that needed to go into the new bator, well the new bator, slam full, also was on that multi-plug unit and they were also cold! Ugh!

Not so worried about the mini bator as they were just set. I have heard stories about how people have started eggs and then stopped them for a while and then started them again and they were ok. Weird, but so I think they will be ok.

Now, I do worry about the ones that are due next week. I candled one and did see movement, so maybe ok. It had to have happened during the night. I watch those things all the time! They were all well when I went to bed! Will let them heat up again and then check them again!

I would like to know also. Our neighbors who are only here when they want to be are leaving in three weeks complained today about my rooster. So I want to get my business going but can't if I keep having roisters crowing all the time. I would to get him a crow collar as well. But want to know how well it works first.

I have researched them and heard everything from they don't work, to they work, to they killed my bird.

I dunno.. I don't really NEED to quiet mine so one sour story is enough for me.

I just asked off of work for GAM and Robo's thing on the 2nd! Who else is coming?

I have three Roos and a half dozen baby silkies to bring, all between 4-6weeks currently, if anyone is interested!
(Otherwise they're going on Craigslist)

That's what I've heard, too. Very mixed reviews. I can technically have roosters where I am, but crowing and not crowing might be the difference between keeping them or not as I'm very close to my neighbors. I'd like to raise certain breeds maybe, eventually. Or at least have the option.
