Don't worry about 'only being a girl' to build stuff. I barely weigh 100 pounds and built everything after the first run. Dh built the first run for first chicks years ago saying it was a mansion- I had to build the house/roost/nest boxes and door. He said anything after that I had to build myself so however many years it has been now I have my chicken acres with 3 separate coops, one side by side double coop, a 3 apartment building deal, 2 small bantam set ups, a hog lot with shelter, and the beginnings of an easier access hog pen all built by me with occasional'hold it up there' help from my children barely double digit ages. You can do it! It may not end up magazine gorgeous just so long as it is functional. Nothing I build is ever square but hey, none of our land is level either

For yall's enjoyment...compare him to the gallon waterer for size. Not quite a year old and she is 9 months old.

Yeah, I keep telling my dh that when building chicken coops aren't you supposed to just "wing it"? dh ((crickets))
